The Leasehold Reform Act 1993 (as amended) states that there are two main qualifying requirements for a statutory extension of 90 years:
  • Ownership of the flat for over two years.

  • The lease was originally over 21 years in length.

As long as you meet the above two conditions you are likely to qualify to purchase a new lease with an extra 90 years at no ground rent in return for a Premium.
